Prof. dr. Stefaan Voet, University of Leuven




Professor Stefaan Voet is an Associate Professor of Law at theUniversityofLeuvenand a visiting professor at theUniversityofHasselt. Before that he was an Assistant Professor atGhentUniversity. Stefaan teaches national, European and international civil procedure. His main research interests are ADR, ODR, complex litigation, dispute resolution design and litigation costs. He has written numerous national and international articles on these topics and has spoken at various national and international conferences. Stefaan is also a Programme Associate at the CMS/Swiss Re Research Programme on Civil Justice Systems at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at theUniversityofOxford. He was a visiting scholar at theLawCenterof theUniversityofHouston(2009) andStanfordLawSchool(2014). He was a visiting lecturer at theLawCenterof theUniversityofHouston, SMU Dedman School of Law,CollegeofLawof theUniversityofTennesseeand Syracuse University College of Law. Stefaan is also a freelance opera critic.
